I am extremely disappointed in this establishment I have been coming here since they opened and I have never had an issue like this I went in on 7/9 with my 2 children and finance we sat down to eat we ordered our food and while we were waiting our baby began to become fussy and cry loudly. I made the decision as soon as the food came we would wrap it up and take it home so that we wouldn't disturb other people eating their meals I signed my receipt and I left two days later I check my bank account and to my surprise my charged amount is higher than the customer copy receipt that I left with I realized that the waitress we had coco it says on the receipt decided it was okay to check off a tip box after I had signed and left giving herself a $20 tip extremely disappointed ! Beware and check your accounts!!

My husband and I come here almost every weekend, and without a doubt, one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back is because of Mona. To say shes is awesome is truly an understatement! From the moment we walk in, she greets us with a warm smile and makes us feel genuinely welcome. She always remembers us, is incredibly attentive, and somehow manages to make every visit feel special. Mona is the perfect example of what exceptional customer service should be. She's friendly, professional, patient, and always checks in to make sure everything is exactly how we like it. Even when the restaurant is busy, she never makes us feel rushed or forgotten. She has such a positive attitude, and it's obvious that she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does. The food is always great, but Mona's outstanding service is what turns a good meal into a great experience every single time. She consistently goes above and beyond, and her kindness and attention to detail never go unnoticed. Employees like Mona are hard to find, and she is an absolute asset to this restaurant. A local staple for good reason. Bonsai is always consistent and sushi is amazing. Our favorite is the tuna avocado roll which is a classic but they do it so well. I love how they use sesame seas on the outside of their rolls too. The Alaskan sushi dinner or tuna don is also great with thick cut buttery sashimi that melts in your mouth every time. Service is consistently good and fast. We have been coming for years.

The sashimi deluxe, while beautiful, was a disappointment. Three pieces each of tuna (almost flavorless), salmon (okay), yellowtail (good), mackerel (unappealing flavor and texture) and white tuna (strange texture, alright flavor). The fish was served nearly ice-cold, which is great for food safety but horrible if you actually want to enjoy the flavor of the fish. The shrimp in the shrimp tempura was bizarrely straight and didn’t feel completely real. The soup and salad were fine and the restaurant was comfortable to dine in, but it’s probably best to stick to the rolls here.

First time going to a Japanese restaurant for sushi. We usually do ramen. Waitress was super friendly and gave great recommendations. We were happy with our choices, the mango shrimp one specially was delicious. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area. 🍱
